Hi! Thanks so much for checking in. I'm with you. I think it is strange, but it is also correct according to the current programing for the climate control system on Lexus Interface vehicles. (Sigh) This is one of the strange climate control visuals that is "interestingly" programmed. Here's what we've discovered: AC Compressor Icon: - When you see AC with no line or light above it, then the AC compressor is on automatically (There is a setting that allows the AC compressor to always turn back on if it was turned off, when the Auto button is pressed. But you should not need to always turn AC on, it should be on automatically, it just looks like it is off based on what we are all used to seeing.) - When you click on AC and you see a small line highlighted, it is Manually On - If you click it again and that light goes off, but you can see the grayed out bar, then it is Manually Off Air Flow Mode icon is similar: - When you don't see arrows indicating air flow direction, then it is on automatic for air flow (you just can't see any arrows) - If you click on the Air Flow Mode icon, you can manually take over and click through to select your air flow mode Fan Speed icon: - A solid line indicates that the fan speed is in Auto (and you should see the word "Auto" with the highlighted bar above it, because the Auto mode has been turned on for all things having to do with the fan. (Speed, Air Flow Mode, etc. Then they can be deselected individually.) - A dashed line indicates manual mode for fan speed Turning on AUTO does the following: - Adjust air flow mode position automatically (face, feet, etc) - Adjusts fan speed automatically - Also automatically adjust A/C on/off and recirculate/outside air Turning on AUTO (while Climate Concierge also switched on in the climate menu) also does all the above and these: - Automatically adjusts heated and ventilated seats - Automatically adjusts heated steering wheel Needless to say it is much more complicated than before, but the system does cool and heat nicely. I totally get it. I hope they will listen to our feedback and have some way of updating how it indicates what it is doing. I'm not sure that could be changed with an OTA, but I get a lot of questions about it, because it makes it seem like it isn't operating correctly, when it actually is. I guess the idea, was to have less "visual clutter" on the screen, but when they take away clues to the function that is happening it just makes it seem like something is missing. I've gotten used to it now on my NX and basically just look for the AC to seem like it is light up in white. It is so hot here every day right now. We cannot mess around with the AC compressor being off! LOL!

Hi! The Overtrail and Overtrail+ come with a cover that is a bit recessed and can be popped out. You will need a small flathead screwdriver. Look for a tiny notch in the center bottom edge of the cap. Carefully pop it out on both sides and then you can use the luggage cover. Luggage covers are available through the Parts Department at you Lexus dealership. See if they can also get you the small cap that covers the screw that will be visible when you pop the cover out. It might not be necessary, but that is how the non-Overtrail GX are setup. I hope this helps! Thanks for checking in!

Hi! If this is a new vehicle, then it is possible the windows may need to be recalibrated. You can try to go to each door and roll the window all the way down and all the way back up. Use the button on each door one at a time. Then see if the buttons on the driver's door will operate the passenger door windows. If not, then a Technician at Lexus should look at it for you to resolve the issue. Thanks for checking in.

Hi The software for the Lexus Assistant has been updated and the voice prompts have changed to a beep rather than the sentence when you first launch the assistant. The setting to have the voice prompts still turned on will be for the assistant confirming things after you give a command, rather than just beep for confirmation. But the initial launch will only be a beep now. Settings > Voice > and select ON to have voice prompt replies where possible. Thanks for checking in.

Hi. Thanks for watching. I'm sorry I'm not fluent in Spanish to reply back in Spanish. Hopefully it will translate ok for you. In the US, the 2020 UX comes standard with Apple CarPlay. Make sure to plug in with a data certified or genuine Apple cord to use CarPlay. The UX did not have power folding or auto folding side mirrors. (At least not on any that I saw at that time. It's possible that other regions have different equipment.).

The LC has the "Auto tilt away function." It does not move the seat. Check the following Menu > Setup > Vehicle > Vehicle Customize > Other > and look for anything about the Tilt Away feature. If it is not there, then use the arrow buttons on the steering wheel to open the Settings Menu in the MID and scroll though to the Tilt Away feature to adjust how the steering wheel "tilts away" when the car is turned off. RUclips is not compatible in the same way with the new system. You could try to connect the audio source to your phone through a Bluetooth only connection and disable Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. Then see if the arrow buttons operate the audio content from the app like it did for you on your previous vehicle. Thanks for checking in.

Unless you both sign in with the Primary Driver's profile credentials, it is not possible. This is unfortunately how Lexus has setup the Remote Connect feature in the app since the introduction of remotes start through the app. It is possible for the secondary driver profile to get setup on the vehicle then log out of their app and sign in as the primary so they can use remote start. The car will still recognize the linked key and the Bluetooth signature of the paired phone for their actual profile for customizations. Hope this helps.

If you press the unlock button on the key fob one time it unlocks the driver's door only. Press a second time and it will unlock the entire vehicle. I hope this helps. Thanks for tuning in.

@@NorthsideLexus I meant that if the key is in your pocket and you grab the rear door handles does it unlock the car or is it just the front handles?

Ahh got ya! That depends on the package. The GX Premium build has the Smart Access Sensors only on the front two doors. Other packages will have the sensors on all four doors. Passenger door sensors will unlock all doors and the driver door sensor will usually come programmed to only unlock the driver door, but can be programmed to unlock all. I hope this helps :)

Update! On the GX I completely forgot that the PKSB is a hard button on the left side of the dash! So sorry about that. It looks like a car with a traffic cone. By the power back door button. Oh yes! Hi! The Weather features requires a strong HD signal. It is possible that the data for that area is not available or that the vehicle is out of range of a strong enough HD signal to pull in the weather information. You could try a local HD radio station for that same area and see if it plays in HD, if not then the signal is just not available. Thanks for checking in with me.

Two options. Try to setup a new profile and override the previous primary profile or reach out to Lexus with proof of ownership to help you unlink the vehicle from the previous owner so you can set it up under your driver profile. Thanks for being here!

Hi! I really need to make a video for this! I wish Lexus gave us a car wash mode, but in the mean time: Here's what we recommend for going through a car wash: Select the shortcut menu (it looks like a little ice cube tray, but the "Climate" tab in the middle of the main screen), I like to turn off Parking Support Brake (PKSB) & Parking Assist (PKSA), then make sure to turn off the Auto Windshield Wipers. If you need to keep the car in Neutral for your type of car wash, you will pull the gear shift to the left (follow the arrows, toward the driver) and hold it in place until Neutral lights up. At the end of the car wash, you will apply the brake, shift into Drive and then you can turn your safety features back on before your drive. I hope this helps. Thanks for being here!

@@NorthsideLexus Much Appreciated. You really should make a video on “How to take your Gen 2 NX that has the Lexus Safety Systems+ 3.0 through an automated car wash without the car freaking out”. I know it sounds ridiculous to some but these cars have a lot of safety systems that you could break or damage just by taking it through a car wash. Most “touchless” car washes in my area are conveyor belt style. You drive your driver’s side wheels onto a conveyor belt then a set of rollers wedge behind the rear driver’s side wheels which does 2 things push the car forward and keeps it from rolling backwards. The car is shifted in Neutral and foot is OFF the Brakes. I have asked my dealer and their service guys this question and they have yet to have an answer for me so Thank You.

Hi! Try using the power back door button on the key fob. If that is also still unlocking the entire vehicle then I would recommend asking your Service department to look for a customization for the power backdoor operation. Hi John! The 201CT does have the Tilt-in-reverse feature, but to my knowledge, it is not programmable. It will tilt based on the saved driving position for the mirror. If you don't like that tilted position, you can turn the feature off by deselecting the L/R buttons. I hope this helps. Thanks for being here!

Hi! Make sure you have the RSA feature turned on and the Speed Limit & Traffic notifications turned on for the NAV settings. Hopefully that will solve it for you.

Hi! No worries. That is the ACC Customize setting. When it is set to "ON" then the car must be on to operate those accessories, so when you turn it off they also turn off right away. When ACC Customize is set to "OFF" that allows those accessories to continue to operate, even though the car is off. They will operate until you open the driver's door. To change the setting do this: Settings Gear > Vehicle Customize > Utility > ACC Customize. 👍 Thanks so much for being here!

The 2024 LCs do not have a track pad, they were upgraded with the new Lexus Interface multi media system with the 14" touch screen display. Color Themed Ambient lighting requires a different electrical platform. I would guess we will see that after a full redesign.

What year is your LC? The 2024 LC has been upgraded and has changes not shown in this video.

Hi! For hybrid models, when you are doing normal braking, the motor/generators on the vehicle will slow the vehicle down when you take your foot off of the accelerator. Then, generally when you reach about 5 - 10 mph, the discs engage. If you are doing emergency braking the discs engage right away for full emergency braking force. Regenerative braking is helps to generate power for the hybrid battery and the brakes typically last longer than on full gas vehicles. Thanks for double checking.

@@bfurl69 the engines of different models and years are built and programmed differently. Keep in mind that that intake valves have a learning capability, so make sure to look at the Owner's Manual for fuel information. The "Research" octane will get you the best performance and best fuel economy. The "Minimum" octane rating will not harm the vehicle, but the valve timing will adjust to accommodate the lower octane and the performance will not be the same as with the research grade fuel. There were some years where Lexus noted "Premium Fuel Required" on a label inside the fuel door. If your vehicle says that, then premium is what the engine was built to use. 👍

Hopefully this helped you turn the feature back on. Make sure you have either L or R selected so the mirrors will tilt in reverse. :)

Hi! Yes, Remote Connect is the remote start service that is available through the Lexus app. When you have the account and trial or paid subscription setup, you can use the app or the key fob to remote start the vehicle. Thanks for checking in.

Hi. what model and year is your vehicle? And do you have NAV or a NAV subscription? That can change the clock, date & time settings. It is possible that the DCM fuse needs to be pulled to just reset the connection. You might need to see your service department to see if they can help.

Hi. Some delay is normal when you are changing sources and not all notifications are allowed to share to vehicle. Apple and Android made changes to the their Do Not Disturb & Focus settings in their operating systems. I would unpair the phone (remove the phone pairing from the car and the car from the phone's Bluetooth list of approved devices), power the phone off and back on, then repair the phone. Check any Focus settings for iPhone and any Do No Disturb while driving settings for Android. After that, if there is still any brief delay, it may not be able to be shortened any more. Hi. Unfortunately, I did not have access to an OVERTRAIL at the time of filming and since this is just an intro video, it was not possible to cover everything like I do in a deep dive tutorial. Since the OVERTRAIL build is geared for off-roading and does not have a 3rd row, the rear climate controls are not independently controlled. All of the climate control is set from the front. If you are looking for a GX with Rear Climate Controls, make sure to look at a GX that is not an OVERTRAIL and that is equipped with the rear cabin climate option. Thanks for being here.

Hi! For cars with this feature, the tilt in reverse feature will tilt both mirrors when you shift into reverse, no matter if the mirror selector is on L or R. If neither L nor R are selected, the mirrors will not tilt. I recommend the following: apply the brake, put the vehicle in Reverse, adjust both mirrors to the position you want each of them in when you are reversing, put the vehicle in Park. If you have programmable side mirrors, these new adjustments will be saved. Make sure either L or R is selected, shift to Reverse to test. 👍

The issue is when I select L the left mirror tilts down when the car is in reverse. When I select R the left mirror is the tilting the right mirror isn’t. Basically the right mirror isn’t tilting at all when the car is in reverse.
